| 1. | Choose Database Setup from the Tools menu.
You see the 'Database Setup' window. |
| 2. | Click the Save as Template button.
You see the 'Save as template' window. |
| 3. | In the Title field, specify the title you want to give the template. |
| 4. | In the Description field, specify a description of the template. |
| 5. | If you want to include the records in the lookup tables in the template, select the appropriate tables from the Lookup tables list.
You can right-click and choose Check All or Uncheck All from the popup menu to select or unselect all lookup tables. |
| 6. | If you want to include the browse views setup (list layouts, sort orders, filters and grouping definitions) in the template, check the Views setup box. |
| 7. | If you want to include the explorer template setup in the template, check the Explorer template setup box.
Note that the actual explorer template files are not included in the database template, only the settings you specify via Tools->Explorer Templates. |
| 8. | Click OK to save the template and close the window. |
The template is always saved to the \Database Templates folder.
For the template to be available when creating a new database, it must be located in the \Database Templates folder.
