• Auto-Catalog: Version field: The program now reads the File Version tag instead of Product Version.
• Auto-Catalog: Title field: The program now reads the File Description tag instead of Product Name.
• Data Entry: Installation Folder/Program File fields: Default folder when selecting folder/file is now 'C:\Program Files'.
• Data Entry: Memo fields: Unused text styles are automatically removed before a memo field is saved to the database.
• Browse list: Copy to Clipboard: This function will now copy the /selected/ records to the clipboard. To copy /all/ records in the list (as in previous versions), press Ctrl+A before you choose Copy to Clipboard.
• Explorer: You can now right-click the explorer page and choose Edit XSL Template from the popup menu to edit the explorer template in your favourite editor. The default editor is Notepad. You can set up a custom editor under Tools->Options->External Apps.
• Explorer: Explorer View: Latest Additions list now includes the program icon.
• Explorer: Program View: The preview pane now shows an icon to go to the installation folder.

• Windows Vista: It is no longer possible to keep data files in the "Program Files" folder. For more information, see the FAQ.
• Data Entry: Capitalization: The feature will now by default ignore words already in uppercase (for example BBC or IBM).
• Data Entry: File Links field: Right-click and choose Sort List to sort the items in the list alphabetically.
• Grouping list: A small hint window is displayed when you point the mouse cursor at a grouping value that is not completely visible.
• Form Designer: You can now go back to the default form layout by choosing Use Default Layout from the File menu.

• Upgraded development system to Delphi 2006 and replaced two of the 3rd party libraries. This gives a nice performance boost of up to 30-40%, especially everything involving XML and XSL (explorer module, export to HTML and export to XML).
• SoftCAT now fully supports Windows Vista.
• Added support for ClearType text rendering.
• Updated menu/toolbar system. You can change the theming under Tools->Options->Misc->Menu/toolbar theme. The default theme is "Office 2003". If you would like to use the same theme as in the previous version, select "Office XP".
• You can now resize all file open/save dialog windows.
• Data Entry: Lookup View: You can now update the 'Sort by' field for all selected records (choose Update 'Sort by' from the Lookup menu). In name tables (Owner) the Name field is reversed (Lastname, Firstname). In all other tables, the program takes the 'Sort by - Move to end' settings from the Options window into account.
• Data Entry: Lookup View: You can now update the 'main' field (eg. Name in the Owner table) for all selected records based on the 'Sort by' field.
• Data Entry: Update Program Details: You can now select multiple records in the main window and update all in one operation.
• Replace Memo Font: This new function (under Tools->Database Maintenance) will let you replace a memo font with another font (for example change MS Sans Serif to Tahoma). All memo fields inn all tables in the database are updated.
• Sort order: Changed the layout of the Edit Sort Order window.
• Browse list: Right-click menu/Save XML: If multiple records are selected, all the selected records are exported.
• Explorer: You can resize the Explorer Templates window.
• Explorer: Program templates: Added a button below the text of a memo field to edit the memo field.
• Explorer: Changed the default colors (Style.css).
• Explorer: Updated layout of page links.
• Explorer: Options: You can now specify print margins.
