1) I'm interested in using BOOK cat or a simmilar system for a network of small collectors. However, we need something that would download dewey numbers and even lib of congress catagory info automatically.

2) Additionally, it would be helpful to have an internal print labels function (i.e. labels with dewy number and first three letters of last name)

3) It would be nice to be able to automatically grab cover photos (like book collectorz software does).

I think you have a superior product, and, if you could add these three features, I could garuntee you my purchase, and no doubt 100s more.

I don't know if there are planned implements in this direction although I remember old discussions about Dewey & LCC.
If it can be of any interest, I know that the latest BookCAT version can query the Library of Congress by the LCCN number...

BookCAT can internally create a lot of different Labels with ANY database field you need.
It seems to me that the whole Avery Labels catalog is supported and you can create your own labels too...

I remember old "copyright" issues about that, but I don't know if something is changed in the meanwhile.
If that can be done, I'm sure that Fredrik will give it a closer & thorough look..

BookCAT can query Library of Congress by either ISBN or LCCN.


The report module can print labels (bring up the Report Designer window, choose File->New, select Book/Labels and then the correct label definition).


This is not supported.
