Are there any plans to release a version of CATraxx for Mac and iOS - iPhone, iPad etc? To have the flexibility 'on the go' would be really great. With the growing number of iOS users they uptake wold be late I'd think. Also integrating the built in camera are a bar code scanner would be really fantastic.

Very disappointing!

I'm very disappointed to hear that Fredrik has no plans for a Mac release of Catraxx.
I know that porting a Windows app to OSX takes some time and effort (specifically the underlying database of Catraxx).
But hey, this question is asked so many times in so many years. One might think that Mac users really want it.

To be honest; There is no real alternative at the moment for Mac users.
Sure, there are alternatives, but none of them match the functionality or ease-of-use of Catraxx.
I think you should realy reconsider the possibilities.
You can have almost the entire Mac community of music lovers buying it (and believe me, that's a huge number).

An alternative solution could be to run CATraxx on a virtual machine (with VMware Fusion or Parallels).
I'm using Parallels myself on my Mac and never encoutered any problems.

There are many years that i use CAT programs and I am very happy with them. But this year, sick and tired of Windows (bugs and problems almost everyday), I have changed to MAC (and it has been a very good choice). Now i use CATs with parallels, but everytime i have to load windows virtual machine (XP pro version), only for this, and so I do it rarely. CATs are the best programs on this type on the market and it is a pity that they are not on MAC. I know that is a hard job, but how many ppl do you think will stay on windows with the "8" version? I think that slowly slowly MAC will be more popular than windows, also if the price is higher (but the quality is much better).
