Post Auto-Organize does not delete last used folder

Hello,

I recently updated to CATraxx 9.35 and I do not remember if the problem was already existing in previous version. Anyway.

When I select multiple albums for auto-organize, the last processed folder is not deleted.
Furthermore deleting the folder from Windows is not allowed.
External program (handle) from sysinternals shows CATraxx still using the folder.
Closing CATraxx allows me to delete the folder manually.
e.g.
Melody Gardot
---- 2005~CDA~HIGH~Some Lessons
---- 2009~CDA~HIGH~My One and Only Thrill
---> Some Lessons~2005~CDA~HIGH

As I would like to start a mass update on my library it is not convenient to have empty leftovers in each artist folder.
Can someone help me ?

Never heard of this problem before. Does it only happens if you auto-organize *multiple* albums?

Hello Fredrik,

I need to call this point again. Slightly different procedure and reproducable.

Sometimes I need to replace audio files for an album with higher quality files (e.g. mp3 -> flac).

I detach all mp3 from the album and re-attach the new files from a different drive ( path in attachment panel is updated )
After I removed the old files manually and changed the quality info for the album I call the auto-organize panel the move the files to their final destination. That works fine - files are moved from drive L -> M
Problem is that the folder on drive L is now empty but not deleted.
Manual delete in explorer is not possible because folder is locked by catraxx.
After closing catraxx the folder can be deleted.

Must be something specific to your system. I have just tested this on XP now, I can not reproduce it, nor has anyone else reported this problem.

What is the exact error message from Explorer?

Hello Fredrik,

error message is as follows:
Error deleting file or folder
Cannot delete L:\New\xxxxxxxxx It is being used by another person or program.
Close any programs that might be using the file and try again.

Handle from Sysinternals shows then Catraxx as occupying the folder.
Closing Catraxx lets me delete folder.

Thanks

Do you have any "additional" files in the folder (Cover.jpg, etc.)?

Yes I had some *.jpg files in source folder and all of them were successfully moved to target folder.
Source folder empty and locked.

I don't see how this can happen. CATraxx simply calls the Windows MoveFile API function to rename/move the file. It does not "lock" the folder in any way.

Try with this debug version: http://www.fnprg.com/tmp/catraxx_debug_setup.exe

After the folder deletion fails, send "fnp_debug.txt" located in your My Documents folder to support@fnprg.com.
