Really just an opinion question here ... there are a number of locations where one can download cover art from now (not to mention scanning it yourself) ... not like it was a few years ago when options were much more limited.

When you are attaching cover art to an album in CATraxx, generally, what pixel size do you look for/prefer? This is assuming that you are comparing images that you like - do you go for the largest available or do you have a fixed size you shoot for?

I'm kind of new to this. I'm seeing images on Album Art Exchange that generally vary from 600 x 600 (and some smaller than that) to 1500 x 1368 - often submitted by the same person. They all "look good", so I'm looking for some guidance here.

Also, do you include the same image in your tags that you are using for CATraxx or you you scale it down (or download a smaller image) specifically for this purpose?

My preferred size is 800x800. More for the size of file it creates than anything else. When I started scanning and "googling" for images, I felt that 1000x1000 created a file that was too big and the 600x600 that Discogs stored were too small. 800x800 was the compromise.

I resize the larger images and if it's smaller I'll scan my version of the cover.
