Post Data entry forms—no color

Fredrik,
I am very unhappy with the data entry form tabs in the version 10.14.
The BG color is white and makes reading what's on them difficult at best.
I've had many complaints about this.
Is there a code to use in one of the templates to be able to change the BG color
back to gray?...or maybe fix it in the next update?

Colors can be changed from the Form Designer. Have you customized any of the data entry forms?

Fredrick,
I have customized all of the data entry forms. Mostly moving the fields to different tabs and adding artwork.
I worked at adding color to the form, but nothing ! I'm doing something wrong. Please show me the proper way to add the color.

You can change the background color back to the default color from the "Fill color" button on the toolbar:

Fredrick,
I have been trying to change my form colors using what you showed above, but I
get no results. I get the color I want in the fill box, but cannot transfer it to the form...that's the problem I'm having!

Did you click to select the field you want to update before you select color?

Yes...I click the General tab before working with the fill color box.
I left click the box and a small color spectrum box drops down. I then left click the little box in the upper right of the drop down. I customize the color and OK it. I still cannot transfer to the form.

You need to click to select the individual data fields you want to change the color for. When you click on a field, "sizing handles" will appear around the field to indicate that it is selected. You can select multiple data fields if you hold down the Shift key. Here Title Sort, Subtitle, Publisher and Type are selected:

You can also change the color from the Properties window:

Fredrick,
I was trying both ways with no results. I tried it on the Book view... nothing!
I thought there was something really wrong in the system so I tried Repair Database.
It worked on the Book view, but not in Form Designer.
I downloaded 10.14 again...no color problems anywhere.
I think I know what happened. My first download of 10.14 was corrupted, most likely by interference on my wireless.
Thanks greatly for your assistance.
