Re: Problems with Add/Edit Album after upgrading to CATraxx
Fredrik, I have received a fixed file from you. Thanks! But unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem as in this file a Genre field is a text one but it should be a drop-down menu corresponding to my database.
What shall I do next?

Since version 9 supports multiple genres, the old drop-down lists for Genre/Sub-Genre are no longer used. You find more info here: http://www.fnprg.com/catraxx/v9/multiple_genres.html

Re: Problems with Add/Edit Album after upgrading to CATraxx
OK, I see. I undrestand that some people may need it. I personally don't need support for multiple genres as I'm a record dealer and I use CATraxx for maintaining my database and preparation of sale lists for such music market places as GEMM, CDandLP, MusicStack, etc. None of those web sites supports multiple genres. That's why I need to keep only ONE genre for each item in my database. Therefore what I need now is just to restore the genres field info for all the items that are already in my database. I would hate to restore everything manually for all those thousands of items... So, Fredrik, my question is: If I use the file you've sent me, will the genre field information be restored for all the items that are already in my database?

Yes, this will not change any of the genres already stored in the database.

Re: Problems with Add/Edit Album after upgrading to CATraxx
Hi Fredrik: Actually it was too early for me to be so happy as problems with version 9 continue... Unfortunately that is not so: after more careful inspection I've noticed that many of the genres already stored in my database were actually changed. Example. I have several items by GORAN BREGOVIC. Before using the file you've sent me the genre for those items was 'World'. Now it is 'World: Aboriginal Australian/Didjeridu'. But this artist has nothing to do with Aboriginal Australian/Didjeridu... So Genre field for hundreds of items in my database has been changed into something absolutely unwanted. This is exactly what I was afraid of... Please let me know how I can restore the original values of the Genre field.

Re: Problems with Add/Edit Album after upgrading to CATraxx
No, updating to v9 will not change any genres. The genre id from the old Genre/Sub-Genre field is simply transferred to the new Genre field. Which version did you upgrade from? Did you only use the Genre field and not Sub-Genre (which meant that you previously only saw the main genre ("Word"), and not the sub-genre ("Aboriginal Australian/Didjeridu"))? It's not possible to restore this as the genre id is the same as before. A quick way to edit this is to right-click the genre and choose Edit, then clear the Sub-Genre field. If you want me to look into this I need a copy of the old (unconverted) database (is automatically backed up as a zip file when it was converted to the v9 format).
