 Auto-Catalog error/question
Hi all! I am going to use this as a software catalog with a directory containing all the software. One problem is that is doesn't always see .exe files in a select directroy when searched. Why would that be? My other question is concerning file type. Is there a way to search for .zip, .msi, or .rar files. I assume that the .zip and .rar files might be an issue, but .msi files are akin to .exe, so I would think they would be seen. It would be great if it just saw the whole directory and you could pick which ones to import. Like some I've seen were you "add a path/directory. Thanks...

 Re: Auto-Catalog error/question
Never heard of that problem before. How many exe files does the folder contain? No, only exe files.

 Re: Auto-Catalog error/question
The folder I'm looking at has 10 .exe files. It only sees 7 of them. There is nothing grand about them either. Fairly small, letter/number in file name and they work fine.
Would you please consider adding the function of adding in other file types? For me it's not a big deal, just a pain. But I'm considering using it at corporate in the future for a nice out of the way catalog that's not tied into the network like some other software inventory packages. Sometimes simple is nice. Thanks

 Re: Auto-Catalog error/question
Does the same happen if you scan this folder into a new empty database? Is the folder on a local drive, or a network drive? Are you using v4.10.02?
