Post Allowing change to "Program File' type

Is it possible to include "all files" or other options than actual Program Files in the drop-down choices under the "Program File" option.
The software works well for cataloging my Video tutorials of which I have a bunch so I would like to be able to include the likes of .avi, .mov, .swf etc in this field.

That is doable. I'll look into it. A workaround in the current version: Enter *.* in the File name field, then hit Enter to display all files in the selected folder.

Many thanks for your prompt reply.
Your suggestion works just fine and I am really excited about the possibilites that this opens up.

I use the video tutorials at a small computer club and as far as I can judge at the moment if I use this method I can then do the searching for what features I want a video to demonstrate. Then, by opening the editing screen I can go straight from there and run the video. This would enable me to then answer requests for features on the spot. This way I could have everything at my fingertips without having to do a lot of work in preparation for a session.
If I used an external drive and made sure that I gave it the same drive letter on the laptop what a saving in work!!! As well as really giving people what they want.

I have experimented with pdfs also - another way of finding what I want quickly - the possibilities for finding what I need are exciting. My mind starts running on to word, excel etc files.

Perhaps this info could lead you on to offering a special program for this purpose?? - Just a thought!!!

An "All Files" option was actually added in v4.01.02.

An "All Files" option was actually added in v4.01.02.

Where exactly is the "All Files" option?
I currently use CDTreePro, and it captures all files (avi, exe, txt, etc) on any media (CD/DVD/Harddrive,etc) I choose and catalogs it, I just have to put in a title for the individual disc (eg Programs 0001, Music 0002, etc). It works very well but it's getting long in the tooth and hasn't been updated for several years.
I'm hoping your program does the same, but since you constantly support and update your program based on the wants and needs of the users, it seems this program will do exactly what I want.

Thanks
Alan

In the Program Edit window, when you manually link to a file from the Program File field.

I'm afraid not, it is designed to mainly catalog program files.
