I'm a fairly new user of BookCAT, and so far I love it. It's made running our business library an absolute breeze. I have just one request (at the moment...more may come the more I make use of the software!).

Is it possible to include the ability to create your own customized reference number system? Just sorting by author and title is not enough for our needs, as our library has a large number of books on a wide range of topics. It's set up according to the category / topic of the book, then the author's name, and then the title. At the moment, I've been manually entering new reference numbers using this system, but it would be so much better if I could modify the Reference number field to suit my needs.

I wholeheartedly second this request. The library I'm working on has a specific reference no. system.
