 Re: Creating Views
In the 'Edit Browse View' window you need to check the "Clear" box below the Filter field.

 Re: Creating Views
What exactly are you trying to do? Activate a specific filter when you select this custom view? Then you should select this filter from the Filter drop-down list (do not check the "Clear" box as this will clear the currently selected filter when you activate the view). Doesn't this work?

 Re: Creating Views
Fredrik,
I guess what i am trying to do is. When i select a view i created (like location View) and than click Asset View the filter for location view still remains in the filter box and doesn't clear until I Click the icon next to the filter box. I would think clicking the main View like Asset View or Album View(in catraxxx) would clear the filter also. So i thought putting a check mark in the Clear meant it would clear the filter box after the filter i chose was executed.
Thanks jon

 Re: Creating Views
No, clicking "Asset View" will simply activate this view with the last selected list layout, sort order, filter and grouping. This will not clear the filter. Selecting Clear here will make sure the active filter is cleared when you click this custom view in the view bar.

 Re: Creating Views
Fredrik,
The filter never clears even if I click a custom view Asset Explorer Right or Bottom. I always have to click the little icon nect to the filter dropdoen box. However when click a Lookup custom (like catagory) view and than click Asset or Asset Explorer right or bottom than the filter clears. SO what i am asking is there a way to click my custome views and than click Asset Explorer right or bottom ans have the filter clear automatically or will i always have to click the clear icon next t the filter box?
Thanks Jon

 Re: Creating Views
As long as Filter/Clear is checked, it should clear the current filter when you activate the custom view: If this is not working, please try this update: http://www.fnprg.com/tmp/assetcat_update_setup.exe

 Re: Creating Views
Fredrik,
Yes that fixed the issue. Thanks!!! The clear check mark wasn't checked on the Bottom and Right views.
