Post Australian National Library

Hi Fredrik

Most of my books (20000+) are Australian, and virtually all are found in the Australian National Library. For those without an ISBN the problem is importing the data.

At the moment, rather than typing the data in, I use Book Collector to get the data by author/title and then import the info in batches into BookCAT. It is tedious but it works.

I have just noticed that the Web Link produced by BookCAT is of the form

http://catalogue.nla.gov.au//Record/545602/Details

The 545602 is the BibID (Marc 001) which is the equivalent of LCCN.

Can you please consider if at all possible adding query internet by BibID for the Australian National Library inthe same way as you do LCCN for Library of Congress.

Cheers

Sorry for the delay in answering. I'll add your suggestion to the wish list.

Thanks for that. If you decide to implement this it would probably be applicable to other National Libraries, as they probably all have an LCCN equivalent.
