Post Updating existing books

It would be nice to be able to update a group of existing books from the internet rather than one at a time.

Thanks

This has been requested for some time. It is not clear to me how Frederik views this issue. You can see some previous dicussions/requests here:

http://www.fnprg.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7151&p=34078&hilit=multiple+book+updates#p34078

This has been one of the items I have wanted for a long time.

This combined with indiviudal overwrite options for each downloaded field would make this a highly valuable tool.

I don't recall if this is on the feature request lists that Frederik keeps but I suspect it is.

Add my name to those pleading for batch-updating of existing records. I purchased this software as an alternative to Procite, a bibliographic program which is going extinct (i.e., no longer supported by the publisher). Now I am about 10% through the daunting task of updating -- one at a time - - over 16,000 records!!! Each night as I sit here mouse clicking, clicking, clicking . . ., I grow more frustrated. But I am too far along with BookCAT to turn back now. I would GLADLY pay an additional $100.00 to purchase batch update capability.

I'm totally interested in that one. I've just spent a month entering ISBNs and Reference numbers of around 12.000 books in an Excel datasheet. Then I imported all those numbers in BookCAT, and now I am downloading all the other book info from the internet. It's a rather slow process. I wish that there was some kind of a batch or group command to automatically update all selected books, so that I don't have to do them all one by one.
