Post cross-product purchases

Hello, everyone -- it has been a while since I logged in here. (Wow, looking at my profile, I haven't logged on since July 2006!)

Over the years, I have been getting more and more CDs with Bonus DVDs. How do you catalog these items?

With the new data server module, might there be a way to cross-reference BookCAT/CATraxx/CATVIds, so one could link the IDs of books that ship with DVDs or CDs, CDs that come with bonus DVDs, DVD sets that include bonus CDs with extra music from the film not found on the official soundtrack, and so on?

At the moment, I usually note in the item title that the book came with a CD, the DVD set came with a CD, etc. But as I probably posted years ago, for the music items with DVDs, this solution isn't always the best. If the DVD contains music videos, in many ways CATraxx is better for cataloging which songs you have the music videos for.

I am still running my old versions, but am thinking about getting new versions for the new computer so I can take advantage of the MANY new features that Fredrik must have added while I have been away.

Thanks to everyone for any suggestions you might have.

Jan

This is possible when using CATweb. The method is described in this topic. In that example the link is based on a person's name. It can be modified to link titles instead.
