The forum software has been updated to the latest phpBB v3 release.

phpBB v3 is full-packed with lots of new features compared to the previous version. According to it’s developer phpBB 3 represents over 5 years of hard work on development process from some of the most talented web developers in the world.

Many improvements and new features have been made to phpBB 3, some of them are:

• Improved performance.
• Improved search features.
• User Control Panel.
• Users can attach files and images with the post. This means you can now easily include screenshots in your posts, or you can, for example, share reports with other users.
• Users can select icons for posts. The icons will be displayed in the forums in front of the post title.
• Users can bookmark topics for future reference which can be accessed from User Control Panel.
• Users can save posts as drafts. The saved posts can be accessed from the User Control Panel.
• Subforums (makes the forums easier to navigate).

In addition, we have added a new "Tips and Tricks" forum for each program. Here you can share tips and tricks on how to use the program with other users.

And there is no access to Tips and tricks??

The formatting options are available above the text box as before. The smileys to the right.


What exactly isn't working? Can't you access the forum, or are you unable to post?


Make sure "Attach a signature" is checked below. To check this automatically, go into "User Control Panel", click "Board preferences" + "Edit posting default" and set "Attach my signature by default" to Yes.

But now I see, that it's only missing on replies.

And that applies to the signature as well.

I noticed in composing this reply that "BBCode is OFF". Could that be part of the problem? Either way, I have BBCode set to Enabled by default in my Control Panel. That setting seems to be getting overridden somehow...

The "Options" tab below doesn't have an option to turn it on, either.

Actually I came to this thread because I was wondering about Avatars. Currently they're disabled; are there any plans to enable them and allow us to upload utterly tasteless photos of ourselves, oops, I mean, our own avatar images?

Looks like my signature isn't being added either, though I have "Add Signature" set to "Yes" in the control panel.

All important things considered, though, the new board software is working very well in its first rollout.

The message editor is working OK. I came back to add my signature by hand. It''s a copy/paste op, not a control panel change:

Now it seems, that my problems only exist in this thread (Announcements).
