Unable to start thew Database engine. The necessary DLL files are not installed. What to do?

I followed your auto reply. 1. download 2. installed 3. restart computer.
No luck.
Need help since all my serial numbers are locked out to me and I need to be running my Monday Am.

Are you using the latest SoftCAT release (v5.20)?
Windows XP, Vista or 7?

That is strange, as the database engine comes preloaded on Windows 7. Try running this setup program: http://www.fnprg.com/dl/dbeng_2.exe

Try a System Restore. If that doesn't help, I think you will have to reinstall Windows.

I will try to re-install SoftCat. As far as a system re-install, which I did within the last five weeks, I know what you're trying to say, I'm not new to computers. As we both know that generally happens when you buy a new Windows product. So if I don't get it solved with reinstalling. I guess this is the time I try a new product. What a shame after years with SoftCat.
