In Catvids under the Contents Section, each individual episode has a Genre Tab, now in this tab it has checkboxes listed as Action, Adventure, Horror....etc. The nice feature is that you can create your own checkbox, and that description is shown in the Explorer view under Genre....Now my thought is why can't we create that in Cattrax but it does it have to be Genre, Why can't it be called "Quality" or any other title that describe a unique aspect to the recording. I know there is a drop down box for packaging but a recording with multiple unique qualities it doesn't cut it. In Cattrax why can't the checkboxes for Original pressing, Reissue, Gatefold Cover, Picture Disc... and anything else you should chose to add such as Embossed Cover, Gold Promo Stamp, White Label, BB hole...etc, allowing the users to create there own checkboxes, where just a click of the button will show all the albums with BB holes or anything else can be shown instantly.

BookCAT also has the same Genre tab.

I believe the reason that it's not in CATraxx is that it is intended that the inbuilt CDDB based Main Genre>Sub Genre be used.

However as you have discovered, the Genre checkboxes in CATvids (and BOOKcat) are extremely customizable; you can choose any number of 'Genres', and call them what you like.

If this was introduced in CATraxx, I would use this to hold the Genres for my tracks, as I find the CDDB system too restrictive.

Fredrik, I would support this being introduced to CATraxx. I realise that it can't be called 'Genre', but I'm sure that is not an obstacle.

I didn't mean for the tab/section to be called Genre, that is already there, I was talking more about having the customizing feature of the Catvids "Genre" feature and adding it to Catraxx, maybe list it as "Special Features" or such..This could prove invaluable in Catraxx, especially with the multitude on special types of albums (promo, limited edition, not for sale, bb holes, WOC, etc). Imagine creating your own special check boxes, and having it list those boxes in the album view as it does in Catvids, So say you want to see all the promo albums you have, just click on promo in the albumview of one album and all of them show up in a html display....excellent.
