CATraxx is creating duplicate entries of some CDs I have scanned into the database. Both entries have the same reference number. When I attempt to delete one of the duplicates, both of them end up getting deleted. I've tried scanning the CDs a second time but CATraxx keeps creating duplicate entries. Fredrik, HELP please.

Not a solution, just an observation. Chances are the albums in question have multiple artists associated with them. In the album view there is one entry for each artist. Technically not a duplicate but it's tripped me up a couple of times.

I don't think that's it. In the album view I'm getting two entries for the same album. I've been using CATraxx for many years and never encountered this problem. CATraxx seems to be creating the duplicate entries after I refresh the browse list.

Problem solved. I finally figured out the cause. I recently added main genre to my sort order view. Apparently, with albums where I have both main and sub-genre, CATraxx was displaying the album twice. I deleted main genre from the sort order view and now everything is fine.

If you sort on a "multivalue field" like Genre (including Main Genre) the album will be listed once for each genre you have assigned to the album (this does not happen if you sort on Primary Genre since there is only one primary genre per album).
