Post Chart Info

Since there is no Chart Information section, I decided to put this information in the Custom section. However, I am running into a bit of a problem. In this situation, for example. Bobby Womack's Communication had three chart entries - Jazz, R&B, and The Billboard 200. Currently, I have two drop downs to enter such categories. How many more will I need if the entries span more than three? Does someone have a nice workaround for this that you would not mind sharing with me?

Also, I created a table (above the explorer view) to show only the albums that were on the charts. With the Womack situation, I would need more columns for chart positions and the categories. This would stretch the table out of sight. Again, if someone has a simple solution to this ...

Thanks.

Jeff.

What about using the Keywords field (if you are not already using it, that is)?

I am already using the keywords. I was thinking of wiping out the keywords and using it; but have too much information already stored in it.

Songs & albums charting on multiple charts plus all the associated information that goes with that is why I requested Fredrik consider a Chart Info section in his next major release: http://www.fnprg.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=11824

I think that it's time has come!

Not sure what the time frame is for version 9...or if there will be a "point 5" release for version 8...

Hi Dexter

I did not realize this was already a request. The Custom section is wonderful but cannot adapt (from my frustrated point of view - lack of building skills) to what a Chart Info section needs. At the moment, I am using two drop downs for Chart categories and two boxes for positions. Of course, there are many categories in the Chart Info category sections, but I am not wanting to add on every time a new category appears. Hopefully, a chart section appears in a new Catraxx version.

No 8.5 release, the next major update will be version 9.

Thank you, Fredrik! All I can ask is that you consider this.
