I am using BookCAT for my Home and Studio Inventory and all works fine. I have done a good work and I like very much how the informations show up. Above all I can use ALL the best features of BookCAT: reports, searches, contents, lookup tables and LOAN. About the "Loan" section I have to ask you to implement a reminder, even basic and simple, something that alert you when an Item is overdue without searching for it. I.e.: now I loan something to someone and I note when I loaned and when I want it back, but I must search for overdues if I want to know what I need back and I could forget to do it. Sometimes I need an Album and I can't use it becouse I forget to call the borrower saying I want it back. And it's frustrating becouse it stops the work I'm doing in that moment...! Also, in my Inventory DB I store a "borrower" called <WARRANTY 2 B.EXPIRING> (that means Warranty two months before it espires..) so that I know the items I stored that are near to lose their Warranty and a reminder would work very well for it too... In effect I miss this feature in all CAT programs...<br>
Well, I know this seem to be a strange request for collectors programs but in the same time I'm sure it deserves you think about it... It would add a new worth to programs that are already amazing and powerful !<br>
Please Fredrik let me know what you think about it and if you think it's just a loss of time consider that I never wrote about it and excuse me. <br>
CAT users out there, what's your opinion ? It's a good or bad idea ? Let Fredrik know what you think about, please, so he can understand if other users are interested in that too..!.<br>

I don't like message boxes popping up all the time. It surly would be annoying if the program should display a reminder whenever you started if an item was overdue. To get an overview of overdue items, simply print the Overdue report or activate the Overdue filter...

Excuse me, I forget to explain how simple I would like having a reminder: I don't need a pop up box (annoy me too..) for all the overdues items ! I just miss a message when CATRaxx opens to advise me that there are items Overdue ! It's very simple, something like this:<br>

I open CATRaxx and it loads my DB, just after that it displays:<br>

WARNING ! CONTROL YOUR LOAN TABLE BECOUSE THERE <br>
IS / ARE ITEM (S) OVERDUE ! Bye... <br>

That's all ! Really. It takes 1/1000 of a second to press Enter on the keyboard and this sure can't annoy anybody, no ?<br>

I sure don't need an Organizer inside CATRaxx ...<br>
In alternative you could add CATraxx the possibility to open the program showing the Database sorted on the Overdue filter.. Could it be easier to do ? Maybe giving a user the possibility to select in the Preferences Table is she/he wants activate it or not. I really hope other users need it so you'll think about it a little more.... <br>

If I could do only what I like I would spend my time playing music, using CAT's and sleeping, but I'm 40 and I have a family and so I must work almost all my time...<br>
And finally, IMPO, that's the right thing..!!<br>
EACH USER can help you adding something useful in CAT's that maybe you didn't even think. <br>
In another Topic about suggestion you confirmed to me that <br>
were good ideas adding Keywords to CATraxx and rendering rearrangeable the Content Window in BookCat ! and it's true, these are good ideas like many others I read in the Forum by other users ! Believe me, I suggested these last topics becouse in this way all CAT software are basically the same even if they store different kind of records and if it was not me, another user, sooner or later, , would ask you the same thing: and this is becouse WE love your programs and we are (almost ever) VERY careful to what we ask and what you reply. And this is for the Reminder topic too: I'm sure that even if you don't like it, other users could do a good use of it if they had it. Excuse me for the "friendly sermon" and be patient with me...<br>
