Post Personal rating

Hello there, i have a question about the personal rating field in album view and track view.
Is there a possibility to create a new field (custom fields) but with a different image gif?
my version uses the default stars gif pictures, i would like to craete something similar but with different gif images and use de DR values for it.
But i also want to leave the original fields for personal rating intact.
Can this be done somehow?,.. provided i have the gif images to use for it

Greetings Pieter

Nope. You can only add rating images to the Personal Rating lookup table/field.

Post Re: Personal rating

Hi Pieter,

You've reminded me that I attempted a similar task some time ago. I wanted to keep the 'Personal Rating' field for my opinions, but I also wanted to indicate the rating that an album had received in the Penguin Guide To Jazz.
I experimented with using a custom pull-down field, and displayed this in the Form Editor using Windings font. I could find a variety of stars, numbers, symbols etc in that family that I could use as rating identifiers. My biggest problem at the time was I couldn't master the XSL or CSS to display these same symbols in the explorer views - the characters were just displayed as the standard font equivalents which really wasn't what I wanted.
Who knows, I might start tinkering again to see if I can achieve it now with the scraping of knowledge I must have acquired since then.

Ken
