Notice all the hyperlinks you can click. You can for example click
the production year link to display other movies from 1992, or one

You also find separate links above to display the cast and crew

the movie's home page at imdb.com. |
|
Video View
From the Video View you add and edit videos. You can
use filters to only display specific videos (for example only
DVDs or videos purchased this year).
In this example the grouping list to the left shows the various
media formats (DVD, Blu-Ray, etc.) in
the database (you can group on almost any data field). Simply click on a
format description to display videos in this format. |
 |

You also add and edit the contents of the video (that is, movie(s)

CATVids has a comprehensive set of video data fields enabling you to
catalog a wide range of information: title, media
format, release year, purchase price and date, owner and current
value, special and hidden features, and much more. |

that only Simpsons episodes are shown in the browse list to the
right.

Lookup View
(Person)
From the Lookup View you edit data in the various lookup tables
(Person, Format, Genre, Keyword, Series, etc.).
CATVids uses a relational database model. CATVids automatically
creates a link between the video and the entry in the lookup table.
When you edit the lookup table, for example, to fix a typing error,
the change will be reflected in all fields that are linked to the
lookup table. |
 |
Lookup Edit
window (Person)
In the Person table you can store actor, director and
producer profiles,
biographies and reviews, as well as pictures and links to web sites.
The Person lookup table has many fields, including Born
(date), Birth Name, Birth Location, Country, Biography, Notes, File
and Web Links, and 10 custom fields. |
 |
Lookup Edit
window (Genre)
You can set up your own genres by editing
the Genre lookup table.
