| 1. | Make sure the correct lookup view is active (choose Lookup View from the View menu, or click Lookup View in the view bar, then select the desired lookup table from the drop-down list on the toolbar).

You can also add a new lookup entry to a lookup table from either the 'Video Edit' or the 'Contents Edit' window: Simply right-click the data field, for example Publisher or Leading Role, and choose Add from the popup menu.
