If you have a TWAIN compatible scanner, you can use the 'Acquire Image from Scanner' function to scan the image directly into CATVids. Before you do this we recommend that you choose Tools->Options->Multimedia and select the scanner device you want to use (Scanner/Default scanner) and specify a maximum vertical image size (400 pixels by default). If the scanned image exceeds this height, the image is scaled down. Scanned images are always saved in the JPEG format.

1.	In the data entry window, click the Acquire button below the image control.   This passes control to your scanner's Twain software. Follow the instructions you see on the screen.
