You can now associate a 'rating image' with each rating. This image is automatically used when you display the personal rating in the browse list, in reports, and in the explorer (no longer necessary to edit xsl templates if you customize the default ratings!). And it is of course also displayed in the rating list in the data entry window. In addition, you can also set the rating from the explorer.

In previous versions of CATraxx there were two separate personal ratings tables (one for the album rating and one for the track rating). These two tables have been merged in version 8. That is, both the album rating field and the track rating field, and the new artist/person rating, are all linked to the same lookup table.
