CATraxx v9.20 Release Candidate 3 - Changes

  • Data Server: GenerateM3UPlaylist/Filter: Will now automatically generate a filename if Filename parameter is empty.
  • FIXED: Scrobbling: Error submitting data to Last.fm if artist, track title or album title a plus character ("+").

CATraxx v9.20 Release Candidate 1 - Changes

  • Audio Player: Added support for Last.fm scrobbling. Scrobbling a song means that when you listen to it, the name of the song is sent to Last.fm and added to your music profile. The first time you open the player it will ask if you want to enable scrobbling. You can also turn this on/off in the 'Options' window (File=>Options).
  • Audio: Tag: Write: Added support for id3 v2.4 tags, in addition to v2.3. Version 2.4 is now the default format, and is necessary to write to the Album Sort, Track Sort, and Artist Sort tags. (You can switch back to the v2.3 format in the 'Audio File Options' window.)
  • Manual Query: Discogs: Updated to the new v2.0 API.
  • Manual Query: Discogs: An album cover thumbnail is now displayed in the preview pane below the search result list.
  • Manual Query: Improved the order of the search result based on the specified artist/title (best matches displayed first).
  • Card layout: You can now change the border color, and deselect the highlighting of the selected record.
  • Album menu: Show Tracks in Track View command is now faster.
  • Explorer: Pages with a statistical chart now automatically regenerated when the explorer pane is resized.
  • Report Designer/Form Designer: You can now edit the text of text labels directly from the popup menu (without having to open the Properties window first).
  • Report: Text label: Added support for the following codes: %date_long% - insert the current date using the Long Date Format, %time% - insert the current time using the Short Time Format, %time_long% - insert the current time using the Long Time Format.
  • Import: Text: Now automatically detects the byte order mark (BOM) and encodes the text correctly.
  • Import: Text: Select File window now shows both .csv and .txt files by default.
  • Import: Text/Excel: File Link and Web Link fields now available for import.
  • Backup: If running, the audio player now automatically closes the database when the database is being backed up.
  • Loan menu: Moved all loan commands from the Album and Tools menu to the new Loan menu, and changed the shortcut keys.
  • Loan: Print receipt: You can now (automatically) print a receipt from the Check Titles In/Out window when checking titles in or out.
  • Loan: Check out: Added a "History" button in the Check Titles In/Out window. Click this button to display the selected borrower's loan history.
  • Password: You now set up both master and guest password from the same window. Added a Remove button to remove the current password. Added a 'Log in as guest without password' option. Check this box to add the ability for guests to log in without having to specify a password.
  • Update Path: Number of records updated now reported.
  • Data Server: PlayBoxSet method added. This will play the audio files linked to the specified box set.
  • Data Server: GenerateM3UPlaylist method added. Call this method to generate a M3U playlist file based on a playlist.
  • Data Server: GenerateM3UPlaylistFilter method added. Call this method to generate a M3U playlist file dynamically based on a filter. For more information, please see the online FAQ.
  • Fixed problem trying to activate registration key if registration email was copied from Opera.
  • Fixed a few spelling errors.
  • FIXED: Audio Player: Explorer window would reopen if previously opened after minimizing and then restoring the player window.
  • FIXED: Audio: Auto-Organize: Error if file path longer than 259 characters.
  • FIXED: Audio: Scan Folders: Track length and bitrate not read if all track data was fetched from the filename (tag was ignored).
  • FIXED: Audio: Attach: Problem attaching audio files to album from the Album Edit window if all files started, or ended, with numbers.
  • FIXED: Data entry: Paragraph color sometimes reset when opening the Edit Memo window.
  • FIXED: Data entry: Problem with the highlightning of the selected rating in drop-down list when running the program on Windows XP.
  • FIXED: Buttons below Rating Image field in the Edit Personal Rating window did not use the button size setting as specified in Options.
  • FIXED: Database maintenance: Capitalize data: Error when using the Marked option.
  • FIXED: Problem with search if the field value contained an ampersand ("&") character when searching via the Sites menu.
  • FIXED: Import: Text/Excel: Internal ArtistSort field not always updated.
