You can use the data exchange format (dex) to share data with other CATraxx users. This is useful for sharing LP data that cannot be downloaded from CDDB. Each album you export will be saved in a separate file. CATraxx will automatically use the album artist and title as file name, for example U2-The Joshua Tree.dex.
The following fields are exported:
Album: Artist, Title, Title Sort, Released, Format, Label, Soundtrack, Compilation, Genre/Sub Genre, Reviews, and Cover 1/2/3 (only BMP and JPEG images are exported).
Track: Artist, Title, Title Sort, Version, Length, Live, Genre/Sub Genre, Lyrics, Author/Publisher, Conductor/Arranger, Studio, Production, Band Member, and Guest Musician.
Follow this procedure to export album data to the data exchange format:
| 1. | Choose Export / Data Exchange from the File menu. You see the 'Data Exchange Export' window. |
| 2. | Select the folder where you want to save the exported albums. |
| 3. | Specify whether you want to export the currently selected album only, or the subset (albums that are marked). Note: You cannot export CDs downloaded from CDDB. |
| 4. | Click OK to start the export procedure. |
When completed, the window is automatically closed.
