After downloading data from CDDB, sometimes you may have to "clean up" the data. You find various functions that will help you do this on the Track menu in the 'Album Edit' window. These functions will update all tracks on the selected album.

Extract Artist from Title

This will extract the artist from the Title field and add it to the Artist field (any existing artists are first removed). Select whether the artist comes before or after the actual title. You must also specify the separator that separates the artist and title (default separator is "/").

Extract Artist from Notes

This will extract the artist from the Notes field (the first line) and add it to the Artist field (any existing artists are first removed).

Extract Version from Title

This will extract the "version data" from the Title field (any text surrounded by parenthesis or square brackets) and add it to the Version field.

Swap Artist and Title

Use this function to swap artist and title (data in the Title field is moved to the Artist field, and vice versa).

Transfer Notes to Lyrics

This will transfer all text in the Notes field to the Lyrics field.

Clear Notes

Use this function to remove all text in the Notes field.
